At Evergreen Church, our Thrive Children’s Ministry is dedicated to helping children and their families THRIVE in their relationship with Christ.

We are a tight-knit family of kids ages birth – 5th grade from across Fayette and Coweta counties that love living life together, and are waiting for you to join us!

We meet every Sunday morning during both worship services (at 9:30 and 11 am) to learn more about God and our role in His Church.

Summer 2019 – Parties, Parables & Popsicles
Warmer weather can only mean one thing – summer is here! This is our favorite season with Thrive Kids, and we can’t wait for another year full of fun and great growth. We’ve spent a lot of time working through the Old Testament, so we’re reading to roll our sleeves up with the New Testament. This Summer, our focus will be on studying the Parables of Christ. Jesus taught with stories for a reason, and we can’t wait to learn why!

Thrive Children’s Ministry isn’t limited to Sunday School! Keep reading to find out how we structure our time and priorities during summer months. We’ll connect the parables to every aspect of life this summer!
Relational Ministry

The kids are out of school and we want to make the most of that extra time! Instead of a week-long camp here or there, our focus during summer is to build on our relational ministry. We do this with small group and age-appropriate outings all over the state with each of our kiddos. Contact Director of Children’s Ministry Corinne Roberts for more information.
Worship Ministry

Life slows down in the heat, but Sunday School does not! This summer we’re going to spend our time focusing on the parables of Christ. Everyone from our littlest toddlers through our tallest 5th graders will be learning the same lesson each week – we can’t wait to worship together and dig into God’s word!
Family Ministry

While seasonal fun is a good time, nothing can beat the role you play in the discipleship of your children. You, as the parent, are irreplaceable in their faith journey! We offer additional resources and challenges to help you pour into your child’s spirituality before the chaos of fall picks back up. Check out our family devotional challenge!
Summer Curriculum: Listen Up!

We loved moving through the Bible with The Story, but we can’t help but feel we glazed over the New Testament. In order to step back and really take our time to hear God’s word, we’re going to focus on the teachings of Christ this summer. We can’t wait to kick off Listen Up! by Marty Machowski – a 12-week study on the parables of Christ.
Family Devotional Challenge

Family ministry is a major focus within our summer plans. The truth is, family ministry isn’t just a temporary focus, but the backbone of what we do at Evergreen Church. This summer, we invite you to take on our Family Devotional Challenge. The Listen Up! devotionals by Marty Machowski correspond to our Sunday School lessons and contain five daily devotionals for the twelve-week study.

Complete two out of the five daily devotionals each week and you and your family will win a free family night on us! Contact Director of Children’s Ministry and Family Life Corinne Roberts for more information.
