About Our Missions Team

At Evergreen, we are committed to the mission of announcing and demonstrating the coming Kingdom which undoes the brokenness of the world. Our good works do not earn salvation, but they are the evidence of a life captivated by and committed to the Gospel story of Scripture. They are a foreshadowing of the coming Kingdom and a way to participate in the reconciling mission of Christ.

Mission Team Ambassadors

At Evergreen, each of our ministry partners is represented by an Evergreen ambassador. Our hope is to move beyond a donorship model to a relationship model. Contact Pastor Don Feuerbach for details at PastorDon@EvergreenChurchGa.org.

Ambassador Responsibilities

  • Check in with assigned ministry partner up to 4 times a year via phone call, email, or in person conversation.
  • Provide feedback to our Missions Team on how we can continue to support our ministry partners through prayer, financial support, or volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer

Upcoming volunteer opportunities are listed below.

Come Volunteer at Midwest Food Bank, Saturday, October 14th

We still have several spots available to volunteer at Midwest Food Bank this Saturday, October 14th from 9:00-11:00 am. Please RSVP to Walt Hilker at wrhilker@gmail.com.

Details for the day:
One of the main priorities this day will be to process and box cleaning supplies (e.g., Pine-Sol and Clorox), which could possibly be sent to disaster relief areas. Because you may get a little messy (leaky bleach items involved), it is suggested appropriate clothes be worn. Midwest Food Bank will be providing gloves and items needed to complete the project.

Here are a few tips:

  • Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty (and possibly bleached-splattered).
  • Wear closed-toed shoes.
  • Depending on how fast we finish, another less dirty project may be available for us.
The Midwest Food Bank is located at 220 Parkade Ct., Peachtree City.

Volunteer Opportunity @ The Real Life Center

The Real Life Center is in need of super strong people to assist with lifting 200, 80 pound mattresses this Thursday from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. If you can volunteer, please email Gretchen Watkins, gretchen.spain@gmail.com.
