    “Rediscover The Wonder” – Silence

    Psalm 62:5-8

Yes, my soul, find rest in God;     my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation;     he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God[a];     he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people;     pour out your hearts to him,     for God is our refuge.

    1 Kings 19:9-13

And the word of the Lord came to him: “What are you doing here, Elijah?” He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too. ”The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

    Psalm 46:8-10

Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields[a] with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

    “Rediscover The Wonder” – Human
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of graceand truth.
    John 1:14
Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
    John 1:16-18

Blue Christmas service

On Thursday, December 20 at 6:30 pm we are hosting a Blue Christmas worship service. In the midst of the wonder of Advent, many feel out of step with the joy and excitement of Christmas. Some have lost loved ones or face the holidays feeling blue with grief or depression. This special service is open to the community. So if you or someone you know is hurting, please invite them to this special service.

Advent devotional

In order to seek Christ in every aspect of our lives during Advent, we are proud to announce a church-wide devotional titled “Always Winter, Never Christmas”. Written as a reading companion for The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, the “Always Winter, Never Christmas” devotional aims to help you and your family rediscover the wonder of God’s redemptive plan through Christ. This timeless story provides the perfect backdrop for personal reflection and intergenerational worship during the holiday season.

To best follow the group conversation, pick up a copy of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and begin reading as soon as possible. Copies will be available at church for $7, or you may purchase a copy wherever books are sold. There will be assigned chapters Monday through Saturday of each week and a devotional created by Corinne Roberts, our Children’s Director, for you to work through on Sundays.

Download the “Always Winter Never Christmas Devotional here.

We hope you #RediscoverTheWonder of the season as you explore the imagination of Narnia and the glory of Aslan.
