Easter Sunday best and sweats

Hello Evergreen family,
It’s time to show up, and show out, this Easter Sunday! We might be attending Easter services from the couch this week, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look good doing it. We wanna see how you accessorize your sweats this Sunday – Pajamas and pearls? Slippers and a sports coat? Take a picture and show us your Easter outfit on Sunday with #ThriveTakeOut. There will be winners and prizes for the most creative!

Coming up, our cities will hand each of us a great opportunity to be on mission: Halloween. Two years ago Evergreen Church started a new tradition on Halloween called trick-or-tailgate. Evergreen Church Covenant Partners hosted tailgates in their driveway for trick or treaters. The opportunity allows us to get to know our neighbors and continue to be on mission in our community. This year we have three host homes: Al and Gayle Gardner, Dale and Jill Turnier, and Margaret and David Bowers. Please feel free to stop by their tailgate to show your support. If you would like to host your own tailgate, here are some fun ideas:

  • Set up lawn chairs and invite neighbors to have a seat
  • Set up a spooktacular mini haunted house
  • Set up a fun activity like a treasure hunt, or game where a winner gets a prize
  • Provide snacks-apple cider, hot cocoa bar, hot dogs, pizza, boiled peanuts, bottles of water, etc.

If you have questions, please contact Corinne Roberts (Corinne@EvergreenChurchGA.org or Sarah Thompson (Sarah@EvergreenChurchGA.org).
