Southwest Christian Care volunteer needs 

Evergreen Church mission partner Southwest Christian Care has several volunteer opportunities within their ministry. Southwest Christian Care volunteers play a vital role helping them provide the highest quality care and support to terminally ill guests and their families, senior adults with dementia, and medically fragile, special needs children and their families at not cost. If you have four hours a week or four hours a month they would love to have you join them in being the hands and feet of Christ to our community. Listed below are their volunteer needs.

Hospice: answer phones, clean kitchen, do laundry, welcome and direct guests.
Tuesday mornings – 9 am – 1 pm
Wednesday evenings – 1st and 4th 5 am-  8 pm
Thursday mornings – 9am – 1pm
Friday mornings – 2nd and 4th 9am – 1pm

WeCare: be a buddy to a special needs child for four hours in a VBS environment.
Second Saturday of each month
Shifts 10:45 am -3 pm or 2:45 pm-7 pm

Mary Ruth’s Corner: sort/price merchandise and run cash register.
Wednesday afternoon – 1 am-4 pm
Thursday – 10 am – 1 pm
Thursday -1 pm – 4 pm

DayBreak: prepare simple hot meal for 65 people 1st Tuesday of each month.

Special Projects: outdoor painting, nature trail clean up, adopt a Hope House room, planting flowers.
