Visiting a church for the first time can come with a lot of questions. Here’s what you need to know before your first Sunday at Evergreen, from when to arrive to what you can expect when you get here.
Choose Your Sunday Experience
Evergreen offers two worship services each Sunday, with our Better Together discipleship hour in between.
9:00 AM | Traditional Worship
A meaningful service with liturgical elements, timeless hymns, and a Biblically grounded sermon.
10:00 AM | Discipleship Hour
We offer a variety of opportunities to grow your faith. Traditional bible study or table talk discussions enable you to engage and get to know your neighbors. Please stop by Evergreen's hospitality desk for more details.
11:15 AM | Contemporary Worship
A blend of liturgical tradition, contemporary worship music, and a Biblically grounded sermon.
What to Expect
Visiting somewhere new is easier when you know what to expect. Here are a few things to know before your first Sunday at Evergreen.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. There’s no need to dress a certain way. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
How long is the service?
Each worship service lasts about an hour.
When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving a little early so you have time to find a seat, get settled, and meet a few people before worship begins.

Visiting With Kids?
Kids are welcome at Evergreen! Our Kids Ministry serves children from birth through 5th grade, with age-appropriate classes designed to help kids learn about Jesus in ways that are meaningful, engaging, and fun.
Your child’s safety is a priority. Kids Ministry volunteers and teachers are background-checked, and secure check-in and check-out procedures help make sure every child is accounted for.
If your child has allergies, medical needs, or requires special accommodations, just let us know. We want to help make their time at Evergreen comfortable and welcoming.
Parking
There’s plenty of on-site parking around the church with designated handicap spaces near the entrance to the church.
Finding the Entrance
Look for the main entrance beneath the large covered brick entryway. The glass doors lead directly into Evergreen’s main lobby.

First Visit FAQs
Do I need to let you know I’m coming?
Not at all. You’re welcome to simply join us on Sunday. If you’d feel more comfortable connecting with someone beforehand, you can schedule a tour or let us know you’re planning to visit and we’ll be happy to help make your first visit easier.
What’s the difference between the two worship services?
Our 9:00 AM Traditional Service includes liturgical elements, timeless hymns, and a Biblically based sermon. Our 11:15 AM Contemporary Service combines liturgical elements with contemporary worship music and a Biblically grounded message.
What happens at 10:00 AM?
Between worship services, Better Together is an opportunity to gather in smaller, discussion-based groups to explore Scripture, ask questions, and learn together.
Is Kids Ministry available during both services?
Yes. Kids Ministry is available during both the 9:00 AM and 11:15 AM worship services for children from birth through 5th grade.
Can my child stay with me during worship?
Children are welcome at Evergreen. Kids Ministry is available during both worship services, but parents are also welcome to keep their children with them. If your child needs time to adjust to a new environment, parents may stay or observe in Kids Ministry as needed.
Can I watch a service before I visit?
Yes. Evergreen livestreams both the 9:00 AM Traditional Service and the 11:15 AM Contemporary Service on YouTube, and previous sermons are available there as well.
